Learning

In the Year 7-8 Village students are introduced to all elements of the Middle Years Program.

The MYP is a framework for learning rather than a curriculum. Within this framework Santa Maria is able to deliver the full Victorian curriculum, integrated within the 21st century skills and global perspectives that are the hallmarks of the MYP.

Central to this approach is the notion that all learning is connected and that skills and ideas are transferable across subject areas.

The curriculum in the Year 7-8 Village gives students a balanced experience of foundation subjects before their transition to the Year 9-10 Village.
