TOP CLASS DRAMA
We are very excited to announce that Isabella Mascia (2017 College Captain) has been successful in being chosen to perform in this year's Top Class Drama performance at the Arts Centre Melbourne. To be eligible to be selected to audition the students must have achieved a perfect score in their Solo Performance Examination and be invited to audition by the Chief Assessor. Four of our 2017 VCE Drama students were invited to audition and Isabella Mascia has been successful in being selected to perform.
Top Class Drama presents performances by inspirational students who received outstanding grades for their 2017 VCE performance examinations.
Well done Isabella!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2017!
It is with great pleasure that we acknowledge our 2017 cohort on their VCE/ VET/VCAL results.
The DUX of 2017 is Stephanie Silaen achieving an ATAR of 98.5. Stephanie was joined by 22 of her peers who achieved an ATAR of 90 or above, placing them in the top 10% of students in the state of Victoria. A pleasing point to note in 2017 is that of these 22 students, 7 achieved an ATAR of 95 or above, placing them in the top 5%.
Alongside this, an additional 23 students achieved an ATAR of 80 or above, with 50% of students achieving above 70 for their ATAR.
This year saw 25 of our students successfully receive an early offer to tertiary courses a.t LaTrobe and/or ACU. These programs reward students for their community service and leadership qualities and experience. For all our other students, tertiary studies offers will be made in January 2018.
We also wish to recognise the efforts of our VCAL students on their successful two years of study at the College, whilst working towards the completion of their VCAL certificate and VET course.
Amidst our results for the cohort of 2017, we acknowledge some wonderful individual achievements for students who, at times, have faced significant adversity and yet meet these challenges with resilience and optimism. We know that the experiences and skills they have learnt will hold them in good stead as they move beyond the Santa Maria community.
